The Green Tire Guys is an association of individuals and companies that promote longer tire life and better fuel economy by understanding the total relationship between ALL the vehicles components that impact on tire life and fuel economy.

 

Our feeling is that the trucking industry personnel in the areas of tires, shocks, balance, suspensions, researchers, alignment, government regulators, etc. have been like the parable from India about the blind men, each seeing a different part of the same animal.

Depending on who you are talking to, a problem such as tire cupping is an alignment, tire, shock, balance, or suspension problem.

 

This group (TheGreenTireGuys) will develop several documents such as the A, B, C’s of going green (both financially and environmentally) with tires.  A = Alignment and air pressure, B = Balance, C = Control issues due to shock and suspension problems.

 

Another document will be the A to Z of green tires, putting in one place information about extending tire life.
